If you fancy doing something different in the evening then why not head into nearby Protaras for the dazzling lights and sounds of the Magic Dancing Waters show.

Set in the heart of the Protaras strip, the lights are dimmed, 18,000 nozzles spurt jets of water into the air in time with the music, while 1,200 lights illuminate the performance. There are 65 different shapes created by the fountain, including a 200-foot (60-metre) curtain of water used as a screen backdrop to project a state-of-the-art laser show.

Smoke machines and fire canons add to the drama, before a theatrical finale which sees a man-made volcano erupt, complete with flowing lava. A soundtrack of classical and popular music accompanies the water and bright lights.
