Tour DescriptionThis unique tour combines an afternoon jeep safari to the historic city of Famagusta with an evening sunset cruise along the stunning coastline.
The land based part of this tour crosses the border into the North and we visit the ancient city of Famagusta. There's numerous ancient monuments to explore including the gothic cathedral of Saint Nicholas, Othello's Castle, the huge Venetian walls and loads of churches and other fascinating buildings. If you're not into history, you might like to wander the back streets, shop for souvenirs or enjoy a Turkish coffee in an old fashioned cafe. We next take a visit to the famous Famagusta beach where we can view the ghost town of Varosha. Once one of the most popular holiday resorts in the Mediterranean, this area has been abandoned since 1974. After this we cross back over and head to the coast where we board a boat for a gorgeous sunset cruise. The perfect chillout evening under the spectacular colours of the sky at dusk, you can enjoy pizza and complimentary bubbly on board.
