Tour DescriptionThis full day tour is a real treat for foodies, especially anyone with a sweet tooth. Departing from Paphos or Limassol we head into the Troodos mountains and visit some picturesque and quaint traditional villages.
We will have 4 or 5 food experience stops where you can taste locally made produce and discover the different flavours of Cyprus. Tastings will include a honey making farm where we can try honey and other bee products, learn about bee keeping and visit the workshop. We'll also visit a winery to sample delicious Cypriot wines and then to compare modern to traditional we'll visit an ancient monastery where wine was produced with an old wine press. Our brunch break is a magnificent home cooked feast at the home of a local family where you can enjoy eggs, bacon and freshy made bread, along with an array of home made jams, marmalades, chutneys and other fresh produce. On our way back we’ll stop in the village of Geroskipou to discover the local traditional sweets, Loukoumia with a tour and tasting at a small workshop and finally a stop at a local chocolatier where we can learn about the cocoa bean and taste hand made chocolates made with local flavours. This is a full day tour, around 6 hours of touring around Troodos plus journey time from/to your accommodation. It is available any day, all year round, excluding national holidays, subject to availability. When there is high demand we may offer you an alternative date if all our guides are already booked on tours. Please book at least 2 days in advance. For last minute bookings, please contact us and we will do our best to book you on this tour.
