We begin our adventure with a stop at the very special village of Lithrodontas for a coffee at a traditional Cypriot coffee shop (Kafenio). We take a short stroll to an old Olive mill (now a museum) where you will witness how they used to operate and get a chance to taste some of the olive products for yourself. We then make our way to visit some locals making halloumi cheese where once again you will witness the process of the famous halloumi making and get the chance to taste the cheese. Our next stop is the at the villages bread makers, see how the bread is made and cooked in traditional woodfire ovens. We continue our journey to the the Monastery of Machairas for a short stroll around this sacred and historic grounds which were founded in the 12th century. We next make a stop at the small village of Vavatsinias for some free time to explore and to enjoy an optional lunch. Then get ready for some thrilling off roading as we make our way to one of Cyprus water dams with a short stop for some panoramic views. Our final stop is the most famous Cypriot village, Lefkara; officially one of the ten most beautiful villages in Europe where you will observe some of our most precious and forgotten treasure traits. See some of the most amazing silver filigree jewelery and the most unique lacework "Lefkarito" being made by our local women. Shop in the tiny stores or just enjoy wandering the tiny cobbled streets lined with stone houses. We then make our way back to your hotels. Departs: Wednesdays from November to March.
Duration: 08.00am to 6.30pm - Full day guided/escorted tour Hotel Pick up: Starts at 7:30am from hotels in Protaras, Ayia Napa and Larnaka. Your exact pick up time will be advised upon confirmation. What to bring: Comfortable shoes, Jumper/Jacket. Prices: €60 Adults & €40 children Child Prices: Age 12 and over pay adult price. Ages 3-11 pay child price. Ages 2 and under go free. Deposits to book: €15 per adult and €10 per child (Pay the balance on the day of the trip) Please book at least 48 hours in advance as these tours sell out quickly.
