Tour Description
The south coast of Cyprus boasts some spectacular scenery and we will see the best of it as we journey between major landmarks on this tour. Our experienced guides will ensure you see the best of Cyprus with an well-planned itinerary which will bring nature and culture together. We stop at Aphrodite's Rock, one of the most famous places in ancient Greek Mythology where the goddess Aphrodite is said to have been born from the sea foam. Take a dip in the sea or fill up your insta with stunning photo's.
From here to travel to the ruins of the ancient city kingdom of Kourion. Boasting Hellenic and Roman ruins, this expansive archaeological complex contains well preserved mosaics, chapels and a bath house. Perched on top of the cliff is the ancient amphitheatre with panoramic views of the Mediterranean which are simply unbelievable. We then travel further east to Kolossi castle which was a crusader stronghold and dates back to around 1200. The sleepy countryside location hides the turbulent past of this once thriving landmark, home to the Knights Templar and frequented by King Richard the Lionheart.
Our final stop is the bustling city of Limassol. We stop close to the old town where you have free time to explore. There's a medieval castle, where Richard the Lionheart is said to have married Berengaria of Navarre in 1191. You'll find lots of wonderful architecture in the old town, with tiny stores selling traditional products and artisan handcrafts. Close to the old town you'll also find the modern marina with it's sleek yachts.
