Ayia Napa Bar Guide
Ayia Napa has a wide choice of bars to choose from. There is somewhere to suit all music tastes and bars to suit all types of people. There are bars spread all over Ayia Napa, from the busy party bars around the centre of town, to trendy lounge and cocktail bars, to cheerful family friendly bars away from the centre. Although the majority of the night life is concentrated around the centre of Ayia Napa, there are bars at the harbour, in the Nissi Bay area, around Grecian Bay and spread throughout the town. Whatever type of music or night out you're looking for, you should be able to find it in Ayia Napa.
The Busiest Party Bars in Ayia NapaThe busiest bars in Ayia Napa are located in the road off the main square (Louka Louka and Ayias Mavris) They usually open around Easter time and close towards the end of October. At the beginning and end of season, some bars may only open at weekends. It tends to get busy after 11pm with the party going through the night.
Square bar in Ayia Napa's main square is often busy earlier in the night with live music. At the edge of the square Ambassaden is always one of Ayia Napa's busiest bars from March right through to November. Bazaar Bar is the place to head to for RnB or head round the corner, via Monkey Business bar, to Titanic, and Hollywood Bar. The area between these bars is usually filled with people spilling out into the street and has a great atmosphere. Further along you come to Castle Bar and Bedrock which both get very busy. Castle Bar plays predominantly house music, whilst Bedrock has a bit more party vibe with karaoke. Turn the next corner and Aruba, Encore, Illuzion and Pirates all compete to play the loudest music and have the most people dancing on bars. This area is usually busy from early in the evening right through until the small hours. |
Nights out in Ayia NapaThe bars around Ayia Napa's main square and the roads leading off it are where to head to for busy nights out. These party bars are Ayia Napa's most popular with the young clubbing crowd. Music is usually EDM, house or RnB/urban music and these bars are loud. There is little seating as these bars get so busy that all space is used for dancing or mingling.
The bars around the town centre usually open around 9pm but get busiest after around 10.30 pm. The music has to go off by 1.30am but some bars will still serve drinks after this time, some until as late as 3am. Not every night in Ayia Napa has to be a crazy one and there are plenty of bars where you can sit down, enjoy some cocktails, watch a tribute show, or just enjoy time with family or friends. These bars are located slightly away from the main square; on the strip, towards the harbour or on Nissi Avenue. There are plenty to choose from to suit all tastes and budgets with cheap and cheerful drinks offers or luxury champagne cocktails on offer. |
