Drinks Prices in Ayia Napa

DRINKS PRICES IN AYIA NAPA

Drinks Prices in Ayia Napa
Prices of drinks in Ayia Napa vary by venue and some places are cheaper than others. It also depends what you drink as local drinks are a lot cheaper and imported brands.

The cheapest drinks in Ayia Napa are €2 - €3 for local beers, local cocktails and local spirits. The cheapest bars to drink at are the more family friendly, less trendy places a little away from the main square of Ayia Napa.

You can usually find the cheapest drinks in Ayia Napa in the bars at the bottom end of the main strip (Ayias Mavris) on Nissi Avenue or towards the harbour area.
The busiest and most popular bars around the main square in Ayia Napa are a little more expensive with local drinks costing €3-€5. If it's before 11pm you often find many bars will have a buy one get one free offer, or free shots or some other deal on drinks. The later it gets in the night, the more expensive the drinks usually get as it is busier.

Always ask the PR's outside the bars what deals are on. If you are in a large group you are more likely to get cheaper deals, especially earlier in the night.

The clubs in Ayia Napa charge anything from €5 upwards for local drinks. Each club is different and some charge upwards of €10 per drink. Some clubs in Ayia Napa have entry deals where you get a free drink included with your entrance ticket. Ask the PR's for each club what deals are on.

If you drink imported or premium brand drinks, expect to pay more in Ayia Napa. For example, if you want Smirnoff Vodka instead of the local brand, Jack Daniels, Corona or Budweiser lager, WKD or bottled drinks, these will all be more expensive as they are not made in Cyprus and have to be imported.

All premium brand spirits will have a local equivalent. The local beers in Cyprus are Carlsberg, Keo and Leon.

DRinking Age in Ayia Napa

THE LEGAL DRINKING AGE IN AYIA NAPA

Ayia Napa drinks
The legal drinking age in Ayia Napa is 17.

Some clubs and events may have an over 18's policy which you should check for if you are under 18.

ID generally isn't asked for in Ayia Napa unless you look particularly young.

We don't recommend taking your passports out with you at night in Ayia Napa. If you were to lose them, you would need to get a replacement from the embassy in Nicosia, costing you money as well as time out of your holiday and lots of inconvenience, getting to and from the embassy and getting documents from home sent over.
It's better to just choose somewhere else for your night out if you can't get in to a particular venue.

Dress Code in Ayia Napa

DRESS CODE IN AYIA NAPA

Picture
The dress code in Ayia Napa is fairly casual. Shorts, vests or T-shirts and trainers/flip flops/sandals are the norm but you can wear what you feel comfortable in and not worry about looking out of place when you go out in Ayia Napa.

If you want to make the effort to dress smartly or dress to impress then go for it! It you like fancy dress, wearing costumes or dressing up, then do! Anything goes in Ayia Napa and as long as you are wearing something then you'll be fine.
There are no clubs in Ayia Napa which have an official dress code. Some of the more sophisticated clubs such as Soho or Castle have a "dress to impress" policy.

It's very hot in the summer in Ayia Napa and the nights are barely cooler than the day so don't bring heavy clothing. If you're going to Foam Parties or paint parties, don't wear your best clothes as they will get ruined.

If you book bar crawls or other events you'll get a free T-shirt which is perfectly acceptable to wear on a night out in Ayia Napa.

Nudity isn't acceptable on the streets of Ayia Napa. Save the skin for the beach and make sure you're wearing something!

In May and October in Ayia Napa you may find it a little cool in the evenings so you may need a jumper/cardigan or light jacket.

The streets in Ayia Napa are a mix of cobbles, paving and concrete so if you choose to wear high heels, be aware that the road surfaces are not even.
